This is optional for those that wish to control meeting entry behavior to their Teams meetings.

AIR has configured meeting lobby for Teams meetings by default.  This means users who join meetings will need to be admitted to join by an organizer.

In order to configure these settings, you must first create and save the meeting in Outlook. Lobby settings cannot be configured while you are initially composing the invitation.

  1. Schedule: In the New Outlook calendar, create a new event, enable the "Teams meeting" toggle, add attendees, and Send the invitation.

  2. Open Options: Re-open the saved meeting from your calendar.

  3. Click Link: Locate and click the "Meeting options" link (usually found in the body of the meeting invite). This will open the settings in a web browser.

  4. Set Bypass: In the browser, find the "Who can bypass the lobby?" dropdown menu and select your desired security setting (e.g., Only me, People in my organization, Everyone, etc.).

  5. OPTIONAL: Assign Role: Scroll down to the "Choose co-organizers" section.
    • Select Name: Use the dropdown menu to select the attendee(s) you want to assign the Co-organizer role to.
  6. Save: Click Save to apply the lobby changes to your Teams meeting.

TIP:  Adding a co-organizer can allow someone else to let people into the meeting from the lobby.
