These steps are required for any schedule or recurring Teams meetings.  Non-Teams meetings are not impacted.


After migrating your account, the Teams meetings you previously organized will not work correctly. They must be recreated using your new account.

1. Identify and Cancel Old Meetings

  1. Open Calendar: Launch Outlook and go to your Calendar.

  2. Locate Future Meetings: Find all single or recurring meetings that you personally organized before the migration.

  3. Cancel: Open each meeting or meeting series and click Cancel Meeting. Send the cancellation notice to all attendees.

    • Tip: Include a brief note stating you are sending a new invite due to the migration and encourage people to delete the old meeting as it won't automatically be removed.  

2. Schedule New Meetings

  1. Create New Invite: Create a New Teams Meeting in your Outlook Calendar for the same date, time, and attendees.

  2. Generate New Link: Ensure the Teams Meeting button is selected to generate a fresh link tied to your new account.

  3. Send: Send the new meeting invite to all attendees.

Why this works: Only by creating a new meeting in your new calendar will your new account be recognized as the official meeting organizer.
