This is only required if you were unable to use BitTitan for automatic profile migration
IMPORTANT: If you use this method, let us know since we need to cancel your BitTitan migration so it does not "bug" you about migrating after you already have set this up.
How to Create and Switch to a New Outlook Profile:
To ensure a smooth transition after our Office 365 migration, we recommend creating a new Outlook profile. This will help prevent any login issues or problems accessing your email.
Close Outlook: Make sure Outlook is completely closed before starting.
Open Control Panel:
Windows 10/11: Type "Control Panel" into the Windows search bar and open it.
Older Windows: Click the Start button, then "Control Panel."
Find Mail Setup: In the Control Panel, search for "Mail (Microsoft Outlook)" or "Mail (Outlook 2016)" (the year might vary). Click on it.
Show Profiles: In the "Mail Setup - Outlook" dialog box, click "Show Profiles..."
Add New Profile: Click "Add..." Give your new profile a clear name (e.g., "My New Work Mail" or "Office365 Profile").
Configure Account: Follow the on-screen prompts to add your email account. Enter your new Office 365 work email address and password. Outlook should automatically find the correct settings.
Set as Default: Once your new profile is created, return to the "Mail Setup - Outlook" dialog box. Use the "Always use this profile" dropdown menu at the bottom to select your newly created profile.
Open Outlook: Restart Outlook. It will now open using your new, correct profile.
After you confirm your new profile is working correctly:
Remove Old Profile (Optional but Recommended):
Close Outlook again.
Go back to the "Mail Setup - Outlook" dialog box (Steps 2-4 above).
Select your old profile from the list and click "Remove." Confirm the deletion.
